Severance High School Prom Night
Y'all - If you should know ANYTHING about Colorado, it's that the weather can change within a minute's notice. These poor kids!! Prom morning - the weather was warm, sunny, beautiful - everything we could have asked for. However as the day progressed, it got a little darker, moodier, colder, and things are not looking as good. Plus we're still living in a COVID world so Prom is required to be outside (social distancing) in groups of 10, on the football field... Could you just imagine!! Having to be grouped in a circle of 10 all night (can't leave your circle) and it's like 30 degrees outside - HEEELLLLLOOOO?!! My niece told me the next day that after 45 minutes of that craziness, the administration allowed them to go inside the gym and they felt so bad that they didn't even require them to stay in their groups.
As crazy as all that was, my niece still got to experience Prom as a sophomore and danced the night away - as soon as they went inside. Hope everyone else had a fun & safe night.
