Another successful Fall Family Session at Fisherman's Park in Bastrop, Texas. I just love this Family y'all! When I began my Photography journey and COVID was rapidly increasing - I started out by offering 'Porch-rait' sessions. Families would be on their front porch and I would take pictures from 6 feet away. While I probably will never offer sessions like that again, I'm so glad that I did them. It gave me an opening and I got to meet some great families (like the Brown's) in the process.
Now we're at the end of the year and I feel like a different photographer. I feel like I've invested hours & hours into educating myself. Really focusing in on my editing skills and even watching tutorials on how to interact with families & couples. I mean, I didn't even know prompts were a thing - THEY ARE TOTALLY A THING! From the bottom of my heart, I truly thought that all the pictures I see on Pinterest were staged. Like the fun, carefree pictures are just really good actors... NOT.EVEN.CLOSE. While my earlier sessions might be a little cringeworthy, they tell a story - the story of my journey. So I'm even more grateful for those families that started with me and chose to stick with me. That means the world.
