Senior Class of 2021
Things might not be back to 'normal' quite yet (or ever), but I'm glad to see that the Senior Class of 2021 has been able to get back to school and enjoy what's left of their High School experience. My heart goes out to the Class of 2020 and all that was missed out on or lost - I just couldn't imagine. So while we may never go back to 'normal' post-COVID, I bet we all can be hopeful & grateful for the future.
While COVID hasn't affected me or my family, I still look back and think, 'What a hectic & helpless year.' I mean, I would get so anxious to watch the evening news because I couldn't take much more - of course, I wanted to stay informed but it became a mental health issue. A person can only take so much bad news.
But this post isn't about remembering the bad but appreciating the future - being grateful for the future. I appreciate that I have air in my lungs, that I love what I do, and that my family is happy & healthy. I look back and remember what that experience taught me and I'm going to use it to better myself.
Never take a day for granted and always remember to appreciate those around you - the world can be flipped on its head in a blink of an eye.
Class of 2021 - Congratulations! You made it! You earned it! Enjoy it and make the MOST of it!
