During my time in Colorado, Estes Park has been my go-to place to photograph my clients - and for good reason! You have beautiful mountains, grand trees, lakes, snow, red rocks, and much more!
I had a Family Session in Estes towards the end of April and it was soooo windy! I mean, with almost NO BREAKS in the wind gusts. So we just kept on moving to different locations (within the same area) in hopes of the trees or something to block the wind.
Working within these elements are not easy - especially for the clients. They spent time getting ready, driving, etc. for beautiful pictures and the wind comes in and creates a sense of uncertainty and doubt. However, I will say this, the more candid and raw the pictures look - the better they are. Wind, rain, laughter, tears - everything!
As a photographer, I want to capture those moments. So don't worry about the elements - that's the photographer's job. Enjoy the moments with your family and if the elements do get a little crazy - it will be a great memory to tell for years to come... Thanks for a great time ESTES!
